 Lightning, or other power surges, can enter your computer through numerous connections including the: - Modem
- Power Cord
- High Speed Network
- and Speakers
In fact, anything connected to your computer could be a conduit for power surges to get in and damage the internal components of your computer.
Damage may be limited to the individual component receiving the surge, such as your modem, or could be widespread. Widespread power surges usually result in damage that is too great to repair.
Protect your investment and your data by purchasing a good quality surge protector and battery back-up. Surge protectors are available to protect your power cables, telephone lines, and high speed internet connections. Franktronics recommends
